St. Joseph's Helpers volunteers at work

Our story

St. Joseph's Helpers is a nonprofit that connects those in need with caring volunteers who offer assistance with small, safety-related home repairs, along with companionship, encouragement, and fellowship. We serve seniors, the disabled, and low-income homeowners at no cost to the homeowner.

What we do

Our volunteers take on the small repairs that keep homes safe and livable: a wobbly handrail, a leaky faucet, a broken step, an outlet that needs attention. We focus on the jobs that are too small for a contractor but too important to ignore.

Who we serve

We work with homeowners in our service area who are unable to complete these repairs themselves — whether due to age, disability, or limited resources. If a project is outside our scope, Julie's List connects homeowners with trusted community partners.

Meet Julie

Julie maintains our resource list of trusted partners for the jobs we can't take on ourselves. She keeps the list current so every homeowner who calls gets pointed somewhere helpful.
